President Reuven Rivlin on Monday visited the widow and family of Yotam Ovadia, who was killed last Thursday by a terrorist in a stabbing attack
in the rule of Adam, telling her that she needs to "double the strength" to bear her grief and that of her children.

"There are no words of condolence on a personal level, your loss is unbearable, we receive and will get criminal killers like these everywhere and everywhere they flee," Rivlin said at his visit of condolences to the family of Adam.

Yotam, 31, was going to his parents' home to pick up items he'd bought for a romantic dinner
he was prepared to surprise his wife, Tal, to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Tu B'Av – similar to Valentine's Day – when he was attacked with a knife by Mohammad Tareq Yousef, 17 years old.

"The children do not understand, they may feel that something has changed," said Tal to the president, who replied, "You need a double force right now, both to support your pain and sorrow and the grief of your children.

Tal also said that his murdered husband liked the fact that Adam was located near Jerusalem. "I had the impression of living in the safest place I have ever been afraid for a second," said the widow in mourning.

"It's the destiny that accompanies us as a people and yet, when it strikes on a personal level, it's incomprehensible," replied Rivlin. "We are with you in our hearts."

The parents of Yotam, Avraham and Karmella, said that they appreciated the love and concern manifested by the people in the country. "We meet the good people in Israel and we feel that we are in the hearts of all the people," they said.

Tal also told the president that "the family of the terrorist can not be left behind. They receive salaries and encouragement.Do not demolish their home is not fair."

The President responded by baduring him that "the case will be handled as it should be. There will be no stall … Every person should get the punishment they deserve. Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas) must also understand that he can not encourage the murderers. "

Earlier in the day, US Ambbadador to Israel David Friedman also visited the Ovadia family to extend their condolences.

"My heart was shattered by seeing the tragic consequence of Yotam Ovadia's badbadination," Friedman said when he left. "A young mother left alone to take care of two toddlers, the parents crying their only son. There are no words that can describe the evil and barbarity of this act of terror."
