At an event in Wuhan, China, DJ Koh, head of Mobile, confirmed a few points regarding his upcoming smartphones. First of all, he said that the coming S Pen with this year will come with a lot of new features, alluding to a redesign. He also added that the company was to bring optical fingerprint technology to next year, but that it now brings another solution, which creates a much better user experience. The same technology should also happen, and the Galaxy A smartphone will be launched next year.
Koh confirmed (Ice Universe) that the Samsung Galaxy S10 planned for release next year will have a fingerprint scanner under display. He noted that the company had to integrate an optical fingerprint solution, but that does not create a good final experience. Thus, the company should integrate ultrasonic fingerprint technology
