The hearing of participants in the National Selection of the Eurovision Song Contest Junior 2018 is held today. There were 62 candidates competing for the right to represent our country in the international competition. A few hours ago, the judges determined the finalists of the project, who will continue to fight for a ticket to the prestigious Song Contest. For the second time in history, Minsk will host the competition.
Requests were received from children aged 9 to 14 from all parts of Belarus. Traditionally, the greatest number of songs came from the capital. The children presented their songs live. The jury evaluated the performances.
After heated discussions, the judges selected 10 finalists for the project. They will compete for the right to become the voice of the country at the prestigious Song Contest. The final show will take place no later than September 15th.
This Saturday, the finalists of the project will determine the order of their performances at the last gala concert. The draw will take place at noon at Belteleradiocompany. In addition, young artists will participate in the shooting of postcards.
As the country chooses our representative for the Eurovision of Children, Belteleradiocompany is actively preparing to broadcast the international television project. The Belarusian composers and authors are already working on the title track of the TV competition. The sketch of the scene is ready.
Meanwhile, the casting of the animators of the Eurovision Junior continues. The main media in the country are waiting for requests from adults and children aged 9 to 14 years old. Among the selection criteria are proficiency in English and the experience of working on the air.
