A new luxury edition of the LG V35 ThinQ is underway, with the Seoul-based smartphone maker planning to unveil it next month, reports Asia Business Daily, citing sources close to the company. The device can be advertised as the LG V35 Signature Edition, but it's not clear for the moment though it will also include the ThinQ nickname. A handset with a more generic nickname "LG Signature Edition" was already launched by the company last December and was actually a luxury redesign of the LG V30, priced at $ 1,800. The upcoming camera should cost the same price, even though it's not clear for now how much its availability ends up being limited. Only 300 copies of the LG Signature Edition 2017 edition were produced, none of them going to the stores as they were quickly reserved for pre – order.

The company's latest luxury Android device was launched exclusively in its home country South Korea and its successor should follow, although some units could be resold internationally. The device is supposed to be made of scratch resistant materials that have not been named but which may include ceramics when seeing how the LG Signature Edition had a ceramic zirconium backplate. 6GB of RAM will also be part of the package, with 256GB of expandable flash memory up to 256GB of additional storage via a microSD card tray, according to the same report. The handset itself may also avoid using ThinQ's nickname because other LG Signature products such as home appliances and TVs are traditionally advertised separately from any other offer produced by the South Korean firm.

The LG V35 Signature Edition will also be sold with the promise of exclusive after-sales service, as well as other benefits designed to ensure a premium customer experience, say insiders. In terms of performance, the device should be similar to the regular V35 that the handset maker introduced earlier this summer. LG's next flagship product targeting global availability is expected to be announced in September as the V40 ThinQ. Recent rumors suggest that the handset will have five cameras in total and will be released worldwide in October.
