A Central District Court judge ordered a hearing for later this week to consider releasing an alleged accomplice of the 2015 Duma Terrorist Attack on house arrest.

The 20-year-old suspect was charged with murder complicity for his alleged role in the July 2015 shooting. His name was not published because he was a minor at the time of the firebomb, who killed the infant Ali Saad Dawabsha and his parents, Riham and Saad Dawabsha. Another son, Ahmed Dawabsha, five years old at the time, suffered months of treatment for severe burns sustained during the attack.

The decision of the District Central Court Judge intervened despite the opposition of the Prosecutor's Office, according to Honenu, who provides legal aid to far-right Jewish activists.

Adi Keidar, Honenu's attorney, said he was satisfied with this decision

"I am happy that the court is advancing step by step," he said, adding that he was hoping that the hearing would result in the release of his client.

Prosecutors requested that the suspect be kept behind bars until the end of the legal proceedings against him.

Last month, a panel of Central District Court judges ruled that confessions made under duress by the unidentified suspect must be dismissed.

The other guilty professions that were found to be admissible in the case did not directly link the suspect to the attack, which led the defense to apply for release. The defendant, who has been in prison since December 2015.

The prosecution insisted that she still has enough evidence to prosecute the alleged accomplice despite the confessions being struck down.

The 20-year-old and Amiram Ben-Uliel, who was charged with murder, affirmed their innocence, insisting that they only confessed to the crime after being tortured by Shin interrogators Bet.

No hearing was scheduled for Ben Uliel, the main suspect charged with three counts of murder. Although the court had rejected a number of confessions that he had also made, a number of charges relating him to the attack had been found to be admissible in the case against him.
