HumanEyes announced details of a new 360 ° camera, the Vuze XR. It is a compact two-lens camera with an integrated handle and a festive tip: The back-to-back lenses can switch from two-dimensional video to 360 degrees to three-dimensional video at 180 degrees. While 360-degree content can be easily consumed on any device, from your smartphone to your desktop computer, 180-degree 3D mode will require some kind of virtual reality headset (see our favorites right here). For this reason, we are not sure of the 180 degree mode utility for most people, but it is certainly a unique aspect of the Vuze XR that sets it apart from other compact 360 cameras like the Samsung Gear 360.
While the technical specifications of the new device remain mostly unknown, HumanEyes has confirmed that it would shoot at a resolution of 5.7K. Beyond saving videos and photos, it will also allow you to broadcast live on "popular social media networks" (we guess at least Facebook and YouTube).
The camera is expected to be available in the fourth quarter of this year at around $ 400, although exact prices and availability have not yet been revealed. This will give it a good margin compared to many other 360 compact cameras, which have experienced quite extreme price declines since their initial unveiling (the Samsung Gear 360 is selling for just $ 95 after a $ 300 launch). If the Vuze XR can offer a good user experience through the software, it may be able to take it in advance, as we have seen with the Rylo, which has managed to maintain its price of $ 500 launch several months after its release. an easy to use application and excellent editing features.
