Simmons offered 15 points (4-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-9 FT), two rebounds and a 23-minute flight over the 86-56 loss of the Magic Grizzlies in a contest of Las Vegas Summer League Sunday.
Simmons earned an impressive 17 points (51.0%), 2.3 rebounds, 1.7 badists and 1.3 steals in 26.3 minutes in three games of the Utah Summer League, and he scored 12 points in the Grizzlies. Vegas opener Sunday's effort was therefore his fifth strong offensive performance, certainly a welcome sign from a player who posted some positives while scoring double-digit in three of the last four games of the regular season 2017-18. Simmons should continue to record robust minutes during his remaining time in Vegas, but he will likely face a steep rise in the duration of the next campaign
