In light of emerging relations between Israel and Arab-majority countries, the Palestinian Authority is insisting on an urgent meeting of the Arab League.
"There is a series of Arab and Islamic resolutions and declarations stating explicitly that there will be no normalization with Israel without a solution to the Palestinian problem based on the Arab Peace Initiative and the decisions of the international community, "said Nabil Shaath, a Palestinian. official, said Haaretz.
According to the report, the Palestinian Authority considers that the potential links between Israel, Sudan and Bahrain are normalization, establishing a relationship with Israel while the Palestinian problem has not yet been resolved.

The Arab League agreed that no agreement with Israel could be reached until a solution was found for the Palestinians at the Arab summit held in April in Dahran, Saudi Arabia.

The hope of a Palestinian Authority meeting comes in the context of Chadian President Idriss Déby's historic visit to Israel on Sunday.
