Police on Tuesday arrested two more suspects in the investigation into the murder of 16-year-old Yara Ayoub, who was found dead in her hometown of Galilee, Jish.
The two men, a 50-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man, bring to four the total number of suspects badociated with the murder of Ayoub, all residents of the Arab village, which has about 3,000 people.
Police on Monday identified the main suspect in the murder as a 28-year-old village man suspected of being the last person to have seen Ayoub before his disappearance last Wednesday. He also faces charges of kidnapping and obstruction of the investigation. The second suspect, a 54-year-old man, reportedly helped the first after the crime.

On Tuesday, the court of Nazareth extended the provisional detention of the two suspects until December 5.

Ayoub was last seen on November 21 at 5 pm when she entered a bakery in Jish. She disappeared after that, after a five-day search in the village and the surrounding area until her body was found in an alley next Monday to a commercial establishment.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Sunday that he would chair a new ministerial committee dedicated to combating violence against women and called for "doing much more" to combat the phenomenon in Israel.
