More than ever, it has become clear that WWE and the UFC have cultivated a mutually beneficial relationship. And the former UFC champion, Cain Velasquez, is turning to the next crossover project.
On Thursday, Velasquez visited the WWE Performance Center and worked alongside NXT Superstars. The 35-year-old man entered the arena and went through techniques. He also participated in NXT recordings that night.
Clearly, Velasquez and the WWE shared a common interest, but ESPN's Ariel Helwani says it might not lead to a contract

Velasquez is one of the most prolific fighters in the history of the UFC with a record of 14-2 – with a of those victories against Brock Lesnar. In 2016, he also beat Ronda Rousey's husband Travis Browne with a first-round TKO. Velasquez has been out of the Octagon since December 2016 after the Nevada Athletics Commission found him unfit for competition due to bone spurs on his back.
