Vice President Mike Pence and Democratic House and Senate leaders will speak at this year's annual Israeli-American Council conference.
The IAC is a voice for the Israeli-American community, which could number hundreds of thousands of people. His annual conferences address a variety of issues, including the best way to badimilate into the American Jewish community.
Pence is close to Sheldon Adelson, the casino mogul who is a major lender of the IAC and Republican party politicians. Adelson, who will also speak at the conference, said he sees the group as a right-wing complement to the US Committee of Israeli Public Affairs. The philanthropist, formerly one of AIPAC's main benefactors, separated from the lobby in the late 2000s because of his support for the creation of a Palestinian state. Adelson and his wife Miriam also head President Donald Trump.
The conference will take place from November 29 to December 12. Haim Saban, the American-American entertainment mogul who supports the Democrats, will speak with Chuck Schumer of New York, leader of the Jewish minority in the Senate, and Nancy Pelosi of California, likely president of the next part of the program. Democrats ripped the House of Republicans out of the recent mid-term elections.
