We have not yet the iPhone XI, but we have already heard of models next year and a feature that seems more and more likely is a triple-lens camera .
This is an affirmation that we have heard many times and today it is put forward, this time by Economic Daily News, which claims that the rear objectives will be designed with AR (Augmented Reality) and will have more advanced 3D detection capabilities than the TrueDepth camera in front of the iPhone X
The report claims that this camera will be capable of stereoscopic imaging, using two of the sensors to capture a image from different perspectives, then using a triangulation method to determine how far away the iPhone is the subject of the photo.
Best AR and Optical Zoom
It's easy to imagine how this could benefit AR, as it would surely place virtual objects more precisely in the real world.
th Ree lenses allow 3x optical zoom, so you can zoom closer without losing quality.
Of course, we were taking all these claims with a pinch of salt, although we have now heard of a triple camera lens repeatedly, while Apple might well consider that we are far enough away from launching the iPhone 2019 that plans could change.
