Casting and crew of Wonder Woman 1984 took the stage at Comic-Con last weekend to talk about their upcoming film. Director Patty Jenkins, Chris Pine and Gal Gadot were on hand to promote and preview a few excerpts.
Some fans may be wondering how Pine might be in this film given his death and the time lapse between two film shoots, but Jenkins had a vague answer. "It's something that I'm super excited for everyone to see, [Chris] is a very important part of our movie."
She also commented on the period of this new film, in the 1980s, of course. "One of my favorite things to do with the original was that it took place during the First World War in 1917, a time full of metaphors like modernity and the mechanized world." The reason for which I am excited about is showing that humanity was in the best and the worst, that it was grandiose and wonderful, that there was good music and that there was Meme it beautiful and elegant things in this period of time when we were at our extreme, it is wonderful. "
Wonder Woman 1984 is scheduled for release in November 2019.
