A surveillance camera captured the speech of a client accused of racist reproaches while he was shouting after an employee over a sign advertising a Spanish tacos special at a Mexican restaurant in Anaheim.

The incident occurred Monday at Palapas Tacos, located at 1101 W. Lincoln Ave.

Juan Del Rio, the owner of the restaurant, told KTLA on Wednesday that he thought the man was upset by a sign in front of his shop that advertised the different dishes of the day.

One of the dishes of the day is a Friday fish taco priced at $ 1.99.

The unidentified client attempted to order the item on another day and was surprised to see that he was accused more than that.

"It's a bull —-! This is said in Mexican. We are not in Mexico, we are in America, "says the client in the video. "It's America. Not Spanish."

In addition to reprimanding the cashier, he can also be seen and heard screaming after other clients.

The confusion of the man may have been caused by a series of signs announcing the daily specials inside and outside the restaurant. Inside the store, the menu lists specialties in English and Spanish, while an outside poster only shows them in Spanish.

Apparently, that's what made the man furious, according to Del Rio.

"I did not understand why this person was angry if she already explained what was happening," Del Rio said. "He just did not understand."

The exterior sign has been in place since the restaurant opened a few years ago, and it was the first time Del Rio realized he was not bilingual.

The incident also marks the first time anyone is upset by the fact that it's only in Spanish, he added.

In addition to reprimanding the teller, the client also threatened to contact immigration officers, Del Rio said.

He provided KTLA with images taken at the meeting's mobile phone where the man, in his car, could clearly be heard saying that he would call immigration on Del Rio.
