Boston Dynamics, in case you do not frequent the robot bars and nightclubs in your neighborhood, is a company that produces incredibly impressive and strangely disturbing robots, often in vaguely humanoid or animal forms. One of their robots, a machine resembling a canine, called SpotMini, will be available for sale later this year. More importantly, if you want to use these robots to tow trucks but do not know how much you need, Boston Dynamics has tested this and has an answer to give you.
The answer is ten, by the way. You will need to buy ten of these dog-guardian bonkers to tow a truck, especially a medium-sized van truck, with a one-degree slope, with the truck in neutral.
We do not yet know the cost of the SpotMinis, but I imagine that 10 of them will be more than looking for a used wrecker on Craigslist and that it will probably be faster.
Again, this tow truck can not be divided into ten parts that can bring you drinks, break doors or love you, or whatever these robots are supposed to do, so that's it.
