"It took my breath away" | The astronaut tweets a photo of North Carolina from the space

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – If you thought North Carolina was pretty, wait until you see it in space!

Christina H Koch, astronaut of the International Space Station, tweeted a rare photo of North Carolina, seen from space.

Koch said in his message: It even cut my breath when it became clear. My first glimpse of the North Carolina coast from space.

Koch grew up in North Carolina and said that it was special to see his house from above.

It's special to see from above the place where you grew up – the ocean that first inspired my fascination with things that make me feel small and sow the seed to explore.
