Ben Platt had the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in March.

The politician The star, 27, shared the news on Sunday, responding to a tweet asking Twitter users if they knew anyone who had contracted the virus.

“Me. It was like a horrible flu that lasted for about 3 weeks,” Platt wrote. “Fortunately, they have made a full recovery. Many weren’t so lucky and will continue to not be. #WearAMask.”

The Broadway star said in a second tweet: “It was March, I’m totally fine now, sweet bb’s. Keep on distancing yourself and masking yourself!”

Days before revealing his diagnosis, Platt celebrated his 10th anniversary of meeting boyfriend Noah Galvin, sharing a sweet selfie of the couple on his Instagram Story.

“10 gay months a month,” he captioned the photo.

Platt and Galvin, who both played the title roles in the musical Dear Evan Hansen, made their relationship official on social media over the summer, with Platt sharing a Polaroid photo of the two hugs.

Platt is the latest celebrity to recently reveal that she has tested positive for COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic. Others include Larsa Pippen, Hugh Grant, Khloé Kardashian and Richard Schiff and his wife Sheila Kelley.
