ITALY: Anti-Vax leader hospitalized with chickenpox

Time magazine reports:

An Italian politician opposed to compulsory vaccination of children was hospitalized for chickenpox. Massimiliano Fedriga, who is part of the far-right party of the League, was under observation for four days earlier this month after catching chickenpox, according to local reports.

It is an ironic fate for Fedriga, who opposed the introduction of the so-called Lorenzin law which forced children to receive certain vaccines for diseases such as chicken pox, measles, mumps, polio and rubella. Parents can be fined up to $ 560 when they send their children to school unvaccinated.
