James Neal, the free agent of the Vegas Golden Knights, has accepted a five-year contract with the Calgary Flames .
The news was reported Monday morning by TSN's Bob McKenzie and Elliott Friedman of Sportsnet before Calgary officially announced the deal.
McKenzie tweeted Monday that Neal and the Flames found an agreement the sides worked late into the night.
The average annual value of the contract will be $ 5.75 million, according to the Flames.
Neal, caught in the last offseason of Nashville, had 25 goals and 19 badists for the all-new Golden. Knights in the 2017-18 regular season, as well as six goals and five badists during the Stanley Cup playoff of the team.
