The show, which will open the summer opera season of the Opera di Roma, seems tailor-made for Caracalla, combining quality and popularity without forgetting the pleasure of entertainment: a perfect track then , not only to amuse and amaze an audience of 4500 seats, occupied largely by tourists, but also to ensure the success achieved in recent years.

And with this Traviata Mariani, who at the Barbière de Sevilla in 2014 succumbed to the temptation to give the public a Caracalla postcard in a Hollywood show, also accepts an "impossible challenge": that of the dialogue with the Roman ruins, exploiting their charm and integrating them with images and projections.

"It is useless to compete with Caracalla, we must seek a productive cohabitation," he says, emphasizing the courage of the Opera di Roma, "a theater that continues to produce and strongly contrasts with the other Italian theaters in which production is abandoned. because of economic and structural difficulties. On stage, the audience will see a young and talented double cast, in which Kristina Mkhitaryan and Valentina Varriale shine (the latter trained at the Fabbrica Young Artist Program of the Rome Opera) as Violetta, and Alessandro Scotto di Luzio and Giulio Pelligra in that of Alfredo.
