Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora was enjoying the Red Sox World Series on Wednesday when he was suddenly hit by a beer thrown by a fan.

That fan, 19-year-old Patrick Connolly, was arrested for allegedly throwing the beer and was a minor in possession of alcohol, badaulting a battery and being a disorderly person. According to the police report obtained by WBZ 4, Connolly told police: "I love Cora, I did not mean to hit him."

On Thursday, Cora said he's OK with the fan:

I know the kid did not mean to hurt anybody. Obviously it's dangerous, but it's what it is. I guess it's not exactly where we're right now. I just got to make the next time.

Cora has handled everything perfectly this year, including this situation.

Here's the video of the moment.

Many Red Sox fans were throwing beers at the players and coaches during the parade. And while their hearts are in the right place, it's not a very smart thing to do.
