Or at least his teammates hope so.

Wilkins, who has been known to shed pounds of clothing, is expected to adhere to proper decorum when the No. 2 Tigers play at No. 17 Boston College in front of many of his friends and family members.

"It's all business," Wilkins said.

Wilkins, who is from nearby Springfield, Mbadachusetts, and grew up an avid fan of all Boston teams, including Boston College, and would like to leave a lasting impression.

"It makes it much more special for me personally that I get another chance in front of my home crowd and everything," he said.

Tigers to a fourth consecutive Atlantic Division title, making Clemson the first team to achieve Atlantic Coast Conference adopted divisional play in 2005.

"It's that time of year when we feel like we're going to be in orange pants," Wilkins said.

The "orange pants" was implemented when Dabo Swinney became the Tigers' coach a decade ago.

"Clemson co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott said," He wanted to get a little bit of uniformity. "I think in the past it was kind of like, and that, and Coach Swinney wanted there to be some consistency."

Freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence will be giving the orange "big boy britches" for the first time, but he is well aware of their significance.

"It represents where we are in our season and the work is in," Lawrence said. "We still control our own destiny. It does not really mean anything, we're still going to play how we play, but it means we're getting to the end of the season. And it'll be cool every day. "
A division title would be Clemson's sixth since 2005, matching Virginia Tech for the most of any ACC program in either division. A win would also represent the 50th by Clemson's senior clbad since 2015, which would tie both school and ACC records for wins by a senior clbad while also clinching a program-record with 10 more victories.

"It's always exciting when we put those orange pants on – a championship on the line," Wilkins said. "The bigger the game is, the smaller you've got to make it. That's something I learned as a young guy. It's just another game, really. You prepare the same way. You do not try to be a hero or anything like that. "

But Wilkins is expecting a pumped-up environment at Alumni Stadium. The game was announced in the history of the stadium early in the week-end against Notre Dame.

The game also marks the first time Boston College will play a game against a ranked opponent since the 2007 ACC Championship Game.

"I do not know that if you give Boston fans something to cheer about they're going to cheer and get excited and be rowdy, so it'll be a great environment and something to look forward to," Wilkins said. "We'll have to go to the right mindset and whatever adversity we're dealing with, just keep playing and we'll be fine."
