INDIANAPOLIS – The Kansas basketball program was a huge success last month in a federal trial focused on corruption in college basketball, not least because SMS and wiretapping were put in place. highlighted by dubious conversations between KU staff and two former Adidas employees. who are now convicted criminals. There was no so-called smoking gun, which is why Bill Self continues to train without problems or interruption. But it was always a bad look that, for most fans of most other programs, would tarnish the series of 12 championships of the regular season that Kansas won.

The off season is over. The season is now here. Thus, the drama on the ground has been replaced by domination on the ground. Maybe not forever. But at least for the moment.
"I thought we had done a lot of good things," said Self. "And I thought our freshmen had progressed and played extremely well."
The rookies are Devon Dotson and Quintin Grimes – two five-star guards Self decided to start in the background, with senior Lagerald Vick, from day one. After 40 minutes of play, it looks elegant. Dotson took 11 shots, made six, and finished with 16 points, three badists and three interceptions. Grimes took 14 shots, made seven, and finished with 21 points and four badists. The bench was useful.
So, yes, it could have been a difficult October for Kansas and jokes about Adidas will never stop. But now we are in November. The games have started. The legal drama is in the past – at least for now. And domination on the ground is officially underway.
