WASHINGTON – Metro has no major trackwork planned this weekend and will have long hours Monday and Tuesday night for the Major League Baseball All Star Games festivities.
To add to the big weekend of local sports fans, D.C. United officially inaugurates its new stadium, Audi Field, near Nationals Park on Saturday night.
At Audi Field
Even without the all-star game in town, there are very few parking spaces near Audi Field.
In the subway, Navy Yard-Ballpark or Waterfront stations are the shortest. From the exit of the Navy Yard subway station near the Nationals Park camp gate, walk down the third side of the stadium along South Capitol Street, then turn right on Potomac Avenue towards Fort McNair to reach Audi Field. Take Metrobus Route 74 (Convention Center-National Park) to First and O Southwest Streets.
There are also DC Circulator stops on M Street at Delaware Avenue, which are at a similar distance from the stadium A 10-15 minute walk.
