Did Giants offensive line play its best game vs. San Francisco 49ers? | PFF Grades for NFL Week 10

For much of this season, it has seemed as though there really has been nowhere for the offensive line to go, but up.

Manning was sacked just once, after the hodge podge offensive line units that have included Ereck Flowers (benched, then released), Patrick Omameh (benched, then released), John Halapio (injured), John Greco (benched), Spencer Pulley, Brown, rookie Will Hernandez, Chad Wheeler, and high-priced free agent Nate Solder combined to allow 31 sacks in the previous eight games.

While Shurmur was right to be optimistic about the line’s play against the 49ers, Hernandez’s badessment seemed more appropriate for a group that could only clear the way for rookie running back Saquon Barkley to rush for 67 yards and couldn’t make it through the contest without allowing a sack.

“I really believe that these guys can get the job done and it’s just a matter of us actually doing it,and I think we did that tonight” Hernandez told NJ Advance Media after the game. “But, I still feel that we can do so much better. Talking about myself, talking about the rest of the offensive line. I know that the rest of these guys aren’t content with their play tonight.

“I know these guys can do so much more. We expect so much out of each other. I feel like we can really do a lot more damage.”
