The only thing I will always remember about DeMarco Murray, is how much he always looked upset.

Every Thursday in the locker room, it was Murray's day to talk to reporters. So a huge crowd gathered around and Murray crisscrossed his forehead and made his way through the sessions with tenacity that we had never seen him on Philly.

After the Eagles won a Super Bowl last season, it's almost hard to remember when Murray signed a contract with the Eagles as a free agent. Three years later, it all seems like a bad dream that most of us have forgotten

But if you make an effort, you will probably remember how Murray became an eagle. It was the off season before the 2015 season and Chip Kelly was now in control. Frank Gore was going to sign with the Eagles but pulled back and went to Indianapolis instead. Then Kelly signed Murray and Ryan Mathews. The two former Pro Bowlers were in the same building at the same time

It was a strange start for Murray at Philly and things never got any less weird.

He came out of a 1800 yard season in Dallas He was named offensive player of the year, but he never really seemed happy to Philly. Maybe it was the rotation, maybe Kelly had abused it, maybe he did not like it getting cold in the winter. Whatever the reason, Murray was not a good player on the field or out.

During this season, Murray rushed for only 702 yards and averaged 3.6 yards per run. This season has been sandwiched between a 1800 yard year in Dallas and a 1200 yard year in Tennessee.

Murray was not very good at Philly, but it was his most lucrative season in the NFL. He won $ 9 million in 2015 and his signature was a mark against Kelly, who was fired before the end of the season.

More than anything, Murray will be known for slipping against dolphins and expressing his displeasure to owner Jeff Lurie. He also interviewed the coaching staff, including Kelly, at Lurie

so maybe the Eagles fans should thank Murray. Eventually, the owner accepted and boxed the head coach / GM and handed over Howie Roseman in charge. Roseman then defeated the signing and sent Murray to Tennessee and the Eagles won the Super Bowl two years later.
