This event, a real exhibition of contemporary art outdoors, will illuminate the squares and streets of Turin. The twenty-first edition will include 23 works of contemporary art: 13 in Circumscription 1 (the center) and 10 in the other seven districts. The exhibition offers citizens and tourists new scenarios through the creative contribution of internationally renowned artists who have acquired over time a significant heritage of bright works. It was founded in 1997 with the aim of bringing art out of institutional spaces.
The inauguration ceremony, Wednesday, October 31, will begin at 17:00, street Giulio Gianelli, with the project.
"I also enlighten" edited by the Theater Assembly. You can watch Gianni Rodari's fairy tales and nursery rhymes, street theater, music and dance performances. Among the works will be "Cosmometrie" Mario Airò in Piazza Carignano, symbolic and geometric motifs projected on the urban sidewalk; "Flying Carpet" Daniel Buren in Piazza Palazzo di Città, hundreds of parallel steel cables holding a set of lanterns to chess, "Kingdom of flowers: cosmic nest of all souls" from Nicola De Maria in Piazza Carlina, street lamps transformed into luminous flowers, "Migration (climate change)" Piero Gilardi in the Galleria San Federico, 12 silhouettes of pelicans applied on a vertically suspended net, which light up and go out gradually, according to a control algorithm, "The theft of numbers" Mario Merz on the Mole Antonelliana (permanent work).
