It was a bittersweet day for Daniel Ricciardo on Friday at the Formula One Germany Grand Prix, as he finished first practice after discovering that it will start on Sunday

As time pbaded, the times began to fall, Hamilton being the fastest man. The Brit, however, was on the ultrasoft tire, with the Ferrari pair of Vettel and Raikkonen on the softer compound slower to start.
Interestingly, the two Ferrari drivers opted against the use of ultras, leaving the men Mercedes and Red Bull In the end, a bit ironic, it's Ricciardo who discovered an extra pace around Hockenheimring, ahead of Hamilton.
