Evangeline Lilly and Paul Rudd arrived at Giffoni Experience 2018 to continue the promotional tour of

in our rooms since August 14th. Led by Tonino Pinto, they met journalists in the new conference center set up in the media valley. Here is the minutes of the meeting

What do you think of the Giffoni Film Festival?
Evangeline Lilly: It's a romantic and beautiful festival. The idea that kids see so many movies every day is a fantastic thing.

Paul Rudd: We have just arrived and it is the first time for both of us but we have heard so much about it in the United States that now that we are here we realize that it's something that changes your life. More for us than for boys. We can not wait to meet them.

What were your points of reference when you were little as you are now models for the new generations?
Paul Rudd: My heroes were mom and dad. Then I had a friend who had a Batman costume and I was very jealous of him and the costume. He has always worn it everywhere. To copy it I would put a bathrobe.

Evangeline Lilly: My hero is now my companion, the father of my children. When I was a child, I really liked the Wood Elves and I could be one of them The Hobbit and I had the chance to be one of them Lo Hobbit . Then I worshiped Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman in Batman – The Return (1992) and now I have had the chance to work with she in Ant-Man And The Wasp . Another point of reference has always been Trilly in Peter Pan .

How was the transition to this superhero cinema?
Paul Rudd: Not me I've never had to train so much in other movies and in fact both Ant-Man are the only ones movies of my career that can see even minors.

Evangeline Lilly: I never entertained him as much as when I did Ant-Man And The Wasp . When you play a drama, you do not find such a relaxed atmosphere on the set

How much did your theatrical preparation influence?
Paul Rudd: Theater is the best school because you can act day after day. You can learn some tips in front of the camera but with the theater you have to learn to act by force.

Mrs. Lilly because he writes children's literature? How to reconcile this activity with that of an actress?
It's very difficult. I never have too much time to be a writer. I spend most of my time playing, but sometimes I would like priorities to be reversed

How was the writer?
I wrote many years in franchise . We worked in a very large and very close team. We started several years ago. One year before filming, we locked ourselves in a room and wrote all the scenes.

What does Mrs. Lilly think of this moment of superheroes? Is this a cynical exploitation of the success of #Me Too and Time's Up moves?
Evangeline Lilly: I do not think Kevin Feige took advantage of the moment because we started talking about Wasp three years ago. Three years ago #Me Too did not exist yet. Kevin Feige could not materially exploit the case Weinstein . He had already created great female characters before. In the industry more generally, I see a real change beyond the opportunism badociated with the success of the movements #Me Too and Time's Up . If all this were to happen for economic and cynical reasons … welcome. The last time I was in Los Angeles where I do not live, I ended up with four interviews of female directors. Four below! In 14 years of professionalism never happened to me before.

Paul Rudd: Equality of opportunity should always be fashionable .
