Through the project, active in 131 pharmacies in Turin and its province, it is possible to deliver drugs that are no longer used, provided that they have at least 8 months validity and that they are in their original packaging and complete. After checking the pharmacist's integrity and expiry date, the donor can drop the drugs into the appropriate containers in the pharmacy. Drugs that belong to drug and psychotropic drug tables and medications to be kept in the refrigerator are excluded.

The Association

The Turin Pharmaceutical Bank Onlus Association supports more than 80 charities and, in 2017, distributes pharmaceutical products worth approximately 1 million 400 thousand euros through a structure that uses the work of 40 volunteers. The ISTAT data describes a situation that requires more and more rapid and thorough interventions – said Clara Cairola Mellano, president of the Pharmaceutical Association of the Bank of Turin.
