(ANSA) – TURIN, JULY 24 – A masterpiece of Pietro cabinet maker
Piffetti, worth more than 2 million euros, was
recovered by the Carabinieri from the Heritage Protection Command
cultural. This is a double-body office with
precious inlays of ivory and mother-of-pearl, missing from Italy
in the Second World War. The office had been transported before
in France, then in Switzerland and finally in the United States, where,
in the late 90s she had been exposed to the Metropolitan
Museum of Art in New York, one of the largest and most important
world.
"The exceptional recovery is the result of intense activity
