Michigan football commit Erick All: I love to block

The best uncommitted Michigan high school football players for 2019 [19659013] 247Sports recruiting badyst Steve Lorenz said Johnson is a "blazer" who could play at the position of Michigan's defensive scheme. According to Lorenz, Michigan's coaching staff loves Johnson's physicality.

"He's really, really, really athletic, plays a physical brand of football, and that's really what they're looking for," Lorenz said. "Sort of a Jabrill (Peppers) -lite in my opinion. I stress the lite, because there's a Jabrill walking around every corner. But he has the same abilities as a physical safety who, depending on his physical maturation, could evolve into that viper spot. He is playing well enough to play there. "
