1,716 cases of measles were reported in Italy between 1 January and 31 May 2018. 84% of cases are concentrated in five regions: Sicily, Lazio, Calabria, Campania and Lombardy. After peak April with 450 cases, there was a decline in May, with 397 people affected. The number of rubella and measles in Italy from 2013
From the beginning In 2013, 12,200 cases of measles were reported in Italy, including 2,270 in 2013, 1,696 in 2014, 257 in 2015, 861 in 2016, 5,400 in 2017 and 1,716 in 2018. The rubella figures are however significantly lower: 225 since 2013. Among them, 65 in 2013, 26 in 2014, 26 in 2015, 30 in 2016, 67 in 2017 and 11 in 2018.
