Patrick Mahomes impresses again in the easy victory of the Chiefs

Comparisons of the "Greatest Show on Turf" might not be so far for Kansas City leaders.

Like these Rams teams, we can roughly give the Chiefs this year the minimum score. In every game of the season, they have accumulated at least 340 yards and 27 points. And in the last eight games of the Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes has collected 300 yards. And with that, he has set another record.

In the Chiefs 37-21 win over the Browns, Mahomes tied Andrew Luck's NFL record by scoring 300 yards for an eighth consecutive game in a single season. Mahomes could break the record next week at home against Arizona.

Given that the Chiefs offense seems virtually impossible to stop, another 300-yard game seems like a good bet.

Patrick Mahomes shines again

At home or on the road, it does not matter much to Mahomes. He totaled 200 yards before halftime at the Browns on Sunday. He still looked great, adding to a resume that puts him ahead of the NFL MVP race.

Mahomes completed 23 of 32 pbades for 375 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. The interception is rare for him, but it happened on Hail Mary at the end of the first half.

Mahomes had a lot of help. Kareem Hunt managed a decisive pbad with a wonderfully designed screen pbad for a 50-yard touchdown. In the third and 19th, Spencer Ware had a great run in the field to collect 25 yards after a short pbad.

Mahomes still makes his typical pieces of Mahomes. His second touchdown to Travis Kelce was perfectly placed, allowing Kelce to catch him over the defender in the end zone.

Mahomes was on the verge of the day, which was the story of his season. The only time he failed to reach 300 yards this season was in the first game against the Chargers when he pitched for 256 yards. He threw four touchdowns and no interceptions that day. He is ready for the third season of 50 touchdowns in NFL history.

Sunday was a reminder that the Browns could have drafted Mahomes last season and they managed (the Browns coach sacked, Hue Jackson, was not forgotten).

The chiefs offensive has another big day

While Mahomes continued to push his lead in the standings, the other leaders were of great help. This is also expected. Kareem Hunt is preparing another fantastic season and had three touchdowns on Sunday, the offensive line is playing well and the Kelce, Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins targets seem to be compromising on big weeks. There is a reason this offense is the best in the NFL.

Defense is always a work in progress, but it may not be serious. The Browns led 37-21 in the final five minutes when Steven Nelson pushed Baker Mayfield over to put an end to any hope of a return. That's all the leaders need: great, timely games from the defense.

The Chiefs improved to 8-1 with the win. We now know what to expect from the leaders' offensive each week. The other teams will only have to beat them to win. Good luck.
