Randall Cobb was not likely to miss the opening of the season after being seen booted last month, but it's a great sign for the Green Bay Packers that the ball is already out of the precautionary camp.
Chris Roth of WBAY Green Bay spotted Cobb without a boot at the receivers football camp on Wednesday. Cobb reiterated that the boot was simply for "protection" for an ankle injury and he expects to be ready when the training camp starts on July 25th.
"I will be involved in the training camp.
The 27-year-old retriever would not go into the details of the injury or his rehabilitation, saying that he must always meet with Packers medical staff before knowing how much he could be restricted during the camp.
