The former Steeler James Harrison says that Mike Tomlin must be "more disciplined"

PITTSBURGH – James Harrison prefers Bill Belichick's disciplinary training style to that of Mike Tomlin.

Harrison, the Steelers bag leader who played much of his career for Tomlin, said on Fox Sports 1's Undisputed that Belichick is by far the best coach

"Mike Tomlin is a good coach, he is a coach of players, I think he needs to be a little more disciplined

"The great thing with Belichick, is that he's very regimented he is disciplined, everyone will be on the same wave length, there will not be much to do for anyone else. I think there (in New England), all their coaching staff is like that.

It is worth noting that Harrison did not leave Pittsburgh under ideal conditions: he was released by the Steelers at the end of December. He then came late to practices or games, or did not at all show a form of boycott for not having played in the rotation. It was then signed by the Patriots.

Tomlin was involved in the decision to release Harrison. He played 14 of his first 15 seasons at Pittsburgh but ended his career with Belichick in New England, playing linebacker of the AFC Champions. Asked what Tomlin can do to improve his player's discipline, Harrison said, "be more consistent across the board with everything from your stars to your special team players."

Harrison announced his retirement this offseason.
