LECCE – Specific and professional working groups to "design" and complete the Pediatric Pole .
The details were illustrated this morning in Via Miglietta by the Medical Director ASL Lecce, Antonio Sanguedolce, by the President by Tria Corda, Antonio Aguglia, by the President of the Medical Association of Lecce, Donato De Giorgi, by Paola Povero, representing the region of Puglia and by the councilor for culture of the Municipality of Lecce, Antonella Agnoli.
Together with them, the professions involved in the following phases of development of the Pediatric Center of Salento: external personalities and internal professionals, divided into three working groups – Area of care, Structural Space and Instrumental Space – and selected in equal parts by the badociation Tria Corda and health company. Specialist doctors, pediatricians, senior health managers, architects, engineers, experts in European funds and public finances: a real working group at the service of the Pediatric Center which enables young patients to benefit from a state-of-the-art facility and high technology specialization
They were responsible for giving body and content to the "dream" that the ASL built piece by piece, thanks to the input of ideas but also to the donations offered by Tria Corda and the motley world, simple citizens and voluntary badociations, which revolve around him
The initial nucleus of the pediatric pole, as we know, was launched last February with the activation of the service of pediatric surgery . 15 beds, housed on the third floor of the hospital "Vito Fazzi", to combine and functionally harmonize with the 20 pediatric beds (including the day hospital) and the 10 pediatric hospitals. # 39; hematology (and day).
perspective that develops with the construction of the new DEA, now at its terminus. After the transfer of the departments destined for the Goddess, indeed, it will be possible to free the spaces necessary to bademble definitely the Pediatric Center in the central body of "Fazzi" . A puzzle that is slowly taking shape and that the technical working groups will have the fundamental task of enriching new solutions, appropriate clinical pathways, advanced diagnostic tools and environments designed and built around children.
This is the last stretch, the most important, of a path that already has its own "history" and which, from December 2013 with the initials of the first protocol of 39, agreement, sees the work side by side with the Apulia region, ASL Lecce and Associazione Tria Corda Onlus. Since then, first the medical, technical and financial working groups, then those of pathology, have worked to evaluate the feasibility of the Pediatric Pole and to identify the diagnostic-therapeutic pathology pathways, giving rise to four specific projects ( all already started) oriented towards pediatric intensive therapy, gastroenterology and digestive endoscopy, pediatric rheumatology and infantile neuropsychiatry
With the signing, last December, of the second protocol of understanding between the Region, ASL and Tria Corda and the appointment of the Scientific Committee for the Pediatric Pole of Salento was born.
