NEW YORK – It turned out to be a Monday afternoon, the Mets players said Wilmer Flores had not been touched by a playground.

This decision allowed Flores to complete his attack instead of taking the first place and give the Mets march. Outside the King On the next field, Flores did exactly what he did, hitting a fast ball from the left pole of the left field.

"It's almost coming to a point where you expect," said Zack Wheeler. "When the game is at stake, it's the guy you want to have up there."

Flores now has 10 top points in the franchise after touching a solo shot in Mets' 4-4. win in the first match of Monday's double program at Citi Field. Flores has two home runs this year, and his four career kicks are tied for the team's record with Mike Piazza, Cleon Jones, Chris Jones and Kevin McReynolds.

The Mets (36-52) fell 3-1 in the nightcap with Corey Oswalt allowing a doubled base to the starter opponent, Aaron Nola. The Mets scored two hits, and manager Mickey Callaway made a mistake in the eighth inning on a pitcher change.

While we will always remember Flores for his non-trade in Milwaukee who l & rsquo; Reduced to tears, He is becoming one of the best MLB hitters. His short and compact swing allows him to hit throws, and he is not afraid in those moments.

He has the most RBI since 2014 with three more than any other player.

"said Mets manager Mickey Callaway

It indeed took a fortune for Flores to have a chance to get a kick on Monday, but the Mets obviously did not care about know how it worked. Callaway opted for Seth Lugo to stay in the game to start the eighth inning rather than tearing him off Flores. The decision did not work because the Mets did not score that inning, and Lugo loaded the goals in the eighth

Robert Gsellman saved Lugo out of this jam, and the Mets feather threw 5 1/3 innings in relief to Wheeler, who gave three points in 5/3 innings.

Flores finally got his chance to pinch hit in the 10th, and he went to take the first base after telling the referee that he had been hit by a pi ch of Victor Arano.

A review did not show that Flores had been hit, and he then shot a fast 94 mph to give the Mets their fifth win of the season.

Flores The error has ended a game that has seen no starting beyond the fifth inning. 19659008] Wheeler produced a semifinal start that required a lot of long counts during a short outing, his smallest start since May 16. He allowed seven hits while walking three.

A pair of two-man rallies on the first two runs allowed the Phillies to take the lead 1-0 and 2-1, and Whe Eler then allowed Maikel Franco to blow solo in the fourth quarter, equalizing the match. Lugo relieved Wheeler with two over in the fifth in a tie match.

The teams learned about Wheeler, and the Mets will have to determine if they think that trading it will put the team in a better position in 2019. Wheeler is a free agent after next season and is en route to his first healthy season of 2014.

Wheeler Withdrawn Eight Strikers

Asdrubal Cabrera led two of three innings scored by the Mets in five innings against Zach Eflin, who was one some of the most promising baseball players. Cabrera was the first to tie the game at 1, and his double RBI in the third gave the Mets a 3-2 lead.

Nightcap

The nightcap did not go well with the Mets despite throwers allowing only two shots safe. Oswalt only granted one shot in six innings, but he gave up a one-two-goal clearance to Nola in the fifth inning that put the Mets behind, 3-0

Nola granted a blow in retiring 10. [19659008] In the eighth inning, Callaway brought left-handed Jerry Blevins who was apparently waiting for the Phillies to hit left-handed Odubel Herrera. However, the Phillies did not announce Herrera and the Phillies were able to counter Callaway's move and save Herrera.

The move did not cost the Mets, but tactical errors like that can not happen.
