It's not that you, the verdant forest of Destiny 2 in The Revelry is a strange Cakewalk

Destiny 2

Bungie

I was interested to see how Destiny 2New event, The reverly, would play today with its new attraction, the green forest, since I took advantage of the haunted forest for the Festival of the Lost and I was eager to produce new armor and an exotic.

But I played exactly one trick in the green forest and I can already say that something has gone badly wrong.

It's just too … easy?

The verdant forest functions in the same way as the haunted forest. You erase branches in the infinite forest while you are on a timer and you recover time for each enemy you kill or all seven sections you delete. If you remove enough waves, you will have plenty of time for the final fight against the bosses, which will require you to remove up to five bosses if you have the time.

Believe me, you will have time. Here's how my first run went:

  • In 30 minutes of play, I reached branch 35 with my team, which eventually gave up and stopped because we were bored and we felt like it was going last forever.
  • I've heard of people heading to the 50, 75, 150+ branch with no change or reason to continue. If you have enough time to kill the five bosses to create five reward chests, that's all you need. I had two full minutes left after killing the five bosses, leaving me only "in" branch 35.
  • With things like Skull Warlock or Orpheus Hunter, you have your super almost all the time, making cleaning an entire branch in five seconds or more, it's not unreasonable. Even without these exotics, there are so many orbs that you still recover wildly fast.
  • Even with zero piece of event armor, the recharge rate of your skills is so high that I do not understand what five other pieces of armor could possibly add.

It's not fair that I'm too high, either. Of course, I'm 700, but this event has a power of 200, so everyone is way too much for her. It's a really weird situation, I'm not sure I've ever met destiny, an activity so easy that it aggravates the situation.

Some people say "oh well, it's all about supers and chaos, explosions and fun," but the fun stops being present after about 15 branches at one time, and I can not imagine that you "need" to do more than 21 to beat the final bosses, but we'll see how long it takes for people to understand.

In short, I just do not think it has been tested at all. You can play this forever, but it is useless because the rewards kill the five bosses. I do not think the Eververse event or armor sets are worth it for an extra recharge speed as they are so fast at the base. The only reason I feel I'm going to play this is to get the Arbalest and then do it.

I'm not like … crazy about that, I'm extremely confused because the way this is put in place makes no sense to me. I thought something was missing or that I came across the best group of hikers in the world until I realized that everyone had the same experience.

I do not really see if Bungie corrected that to make that … harder, but here I am, a race and 35 branches in case of victory for the three-week event that says you should have 50. Something has gone wrong when you can. only in one session.

Strange times in destiny, like always.
