Jacob deGrom, winner of the NL Cy Young Award, and the Mets have agreed on a $ 137.5 million, five-year, $ 52.5 million contract postponed to the 2030s.
New York and DeGrom had agreed in January to sign a one year contract worth $ 17 million and it was on track to be eligible for a free license after the 2020 season.
