The founder of EA Motive joins the company just before the unveiling of the GDC
The former EA Motive studio and Ubisoft Toronto founder, Jade Raymond, announced today that she had been appointed vice president of Google.
In one tweet todayRaymond announced his appointment stating, "I'm delighted to finally share the fact that I joined Google as a VP!" She did not give more details.
This announcement comes just before the GDC, where Google revealed a revelation related to games. The company has been working for some time on streaming technology, under the code name of the project Yeti.
Raymond brings to his new role a wealth of experience in the industry, from leading roles at Sony and EA to more than ten years at Ubisoft as a founder of Ubisoft Toronto and producer roles in several titles. Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs, etc. for more than three years where she founded and supervised Motive Studios. Raymond left EA entirely in October of last year, while Samantha Ryan was commissioned to take over the studio founded by Raymond.
