It's crazy to think that after almost five years, Flint still has no drinking water. The issue has attracted a lot of media attention at the beginning, the coverage has decreased over time. The problem remains, however, with thousands of US citizens without access to clean water. Fortunately, there are many donations coming in and foundations across the country are trying to help as much as possible. Jaden Smith's organization will lead a new initiative to bring clean water to the city of Mighican, in partnership with a church to roll out a mobile water filtration system today.

According to Page Six, Jaden Smith teams up with First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church to provide clean water for residents of Flint, Michigan. A mobile filtration system called "The Water Box" will be deployed today, reducing lead and other contaminants in the water. Jaden's company, JUST Goods, worked with the church to design and develop the system. Keep in mind, Smith is only 20 years old. It's a totally selfless process of helping others get what they deserve.

The church he has worked with has donated more than five million bottles of water to its inhabitants, but water donations are declining. Let's hope that Jaden's Water Box initiative works in the long run because it has been too long for Flint residents to end up without water.
