The Jacksonville Jaguars found themselves on the losing side again on Sunday, as they fell to the Denver Broncos by a score of 23-13. However, they started this game on a positive note by scoring from the opening drive, which was capped by a 25-yard pass from Trevor Lawrence to Marvin Jones Jr.
Unfortunately, the Jags didn’t score again until the 5:26 minute mark in the fourth quarter. Although kicker Josh Lambo was lucky enough to give them six more runs, it was kick returner Jamal Agnew who ultimately got the Jags their next and final touchdown before Denver bleed to score the final set.
The loss marks the Jags’ 17th straight since their 1-15 season last year and puts them at 0-2 for the current season. The road doesn’t get any easier as they face a talented team from the Arizona Cardinals who come off a solid 38-13 victory over the Tennessee Titans in Week 1.
While the expectation was high to see how the Jaguars would react following last week’s loss to the Houston Texans, here’s how Twitter responded to the loss to the Broncos:
All of these things happened last week and today
Denver abandoned 1st TD of the game
The Broncos scored late in the first half to take a 10-7 halftime lead
The Broncos scored a TD on their 1st drive of the 2nd half
The Broncos got a takeout 3Q and got an FG on the next drive to lead, 20-7

Josh Lambo is 0 for 3 so far this season. He missed 55, 52 and 48 yards. Expect to see some kickers worked this week.

The Jaguars totaled 83 yards in their first practice (scripted), then 106 the rest of the day against the Broncos.
189 yards total is like the horrible first years of Gus Bradley.

Today was the 19th time in the history of the Jaguars that they did not reach the 200 meters of total attack.
The last was on December 20, 2018, in Houston.

Defense improving, but really needs someone to help find turnovers #Jaguars played two mediocre QBs and made them damn good

Lawrence made some great throws, but just a little behind with his starting WRs. It’s as if he didn’t get all the work of the first team at camp.
Oh, wait.

How does a team look so good in their first streak and look so lost the rest of the game, @Jaguars?
