The Jacksonville Jaguars suffered a big loss on offense. In the first quarter of their Thursday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals, starting wide receiver DJ Chark was hauled to the locker room after sustaining an ankle injury. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Chark has broken his ankle and will be absent indefinitely.

The Jaguars initially listed Chark as questionable for a comeback. Shortly after, however, he was excluded, according to Hays Carlyon at 10:10 a.m. in Jacksonville. In game three of the game, James Robinson ran to the right for 6 yards and was tackled on Chark as the wide blocked. Chark had his left leg rolled up and he stayed on the grass while everyone could stand up. The cart came out for Chark, and he was led to the locker room.

Chark has caught seven passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns in three games this season. Last week against the Arizona Cardinals, he caught three passes for 49 yards and one score. Whether this will be a season-ending injury remains to be seen, but “going out indefinitely” was not the news the Jaguars were hoping for.
