Part of the interview will air on CNN’s “The Lead” at 4 p.m. ET and “The Situation Room” Thursday at 5 and 6 p.m. ET, and the full interview will air later that same day for one hour. special at 9 p.m. ET. It will air simultaneously on CNN International and in Spanish on CNN en EspaƱol.

The interview will take place in Biden’s hometown of Wilmington, Delaware, in the same theater where the president-elect unveiled several senior leaders in his administration.

Since being cast as the winners in the November election, Biden and Harris have quickly put together a diverse administration that will help them tackle the country’s most pressing issues.

This week, Biden unveiled key members of his economic team who, if confirmed by the Senate, will spearhead an effort to rebuild an economy battered by the coronavirus pandemic. Last week, the president-elect introduced key members of his foreign policy and national security teams. Biden also recently announced an all-female senior communications team in the White House.

In the first 100 days of his term after taking office on Jan. 20, the president-elect and his team should focus on adopting a broad economic aid package and, when legislation is not needed, proposing a series of executive actions aimed at advancing its priorities, CNN reported.

Republicans currently hold a majority in the Senate, but control of the chamber will be determined by two ballots in Georgia in January. The scope of the stimulus legislation, the process of confirming Biden’s Cabinet candidates and other legislative priorities will depend on whether Republicans retain control of the Senate.

Transition officials say containing the Covid-19 pandemic is high on the president-elect’s priority list. Biden’s team will also be in charge of running a mass vaccination campaign across the country when a coronavirus vaccine is approved. Launching an economic recovery and tackling racial inequalities are also among its most urgent priorities, according to transition officials.
