Jalen Reagor wasn’t going to start training camp neither he nor the Philadelphia Eagles wanted to. Wednesday’s practice got off to a bad start for the 2020 first-round pick, which received harsh criticism from head coach Nick Sirianni at the start of the 11-on-11 session, a moment meant to be a lesson in teaching for the young broad.
Sirianni was driven by Reagor’s mistake, wanting the best for the Eagles’ top receiver with DeVonta Smith on the sidelines. Reagor responded with his best day in the camp.
Reagor trained to capture the Eagles, a one-handed grab in the red zone exercises by Nick Mullens with Darius Slay defending him. He also had a long take from Joe Flacco on the sidelines which impressed Sirianni. The Eagles head coach’s tough love worked.

“If you help a guy get better that’s all these players really want is how can we – can this guy make me better and when he does I think you can. train them as hard as you want, “Sirianni said ahead of the Eagles’ practice start on Thursday. “Now my philosophy is, hey, I want it to be harder here on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, than it will be on Sunday.
