The Italian women's football team nearly suffered a serious injury to their captain in their second match of the Women's World Cup against Jamaica on Friday.
In the 58th minute, Jamaica tried not to be excluded against Italy. Jamaican striker Khadija Shaw kicked a bike to get the score. But instead, she blew and nailed Italian defender Sara Gama.

Gama stayed tight in her face as her teammates rushed around her and called the emergency personnel on the ground. The referee stopped the game while Gama was assisted.

Both players remained in the game. Italy won 5-0 and striker Cristiana Girelli made history by scoring the first hat trick of his country.
