Seattle Seahawks safety Jamal Adams was clearly playing less than 100% for their playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams earlier this month.

Adams was unable to lift his left arm to its normal extent due to a torn shoulder labrum suffered the previous week in the team’s regular season final against the San Francisco 49ers. It was far from the only injury Adams had suffered this season and he underwent surgery last week to address two areas of concern related to the wear and tear of the year.

Adams posted on his Instagram account of the injuries he suffered in his first season in Seattle.

I didn’t complain about everything (season) because it was bigger than meAdams wrote in a photo of himself from the surgery, via Brady Henderson of ESPN.com.

Adams said he hyper-extended his elbow in Week 1 against Atlanta. The following week, he injured his middle and ring fingers which included at least one fracture that persisted throughout the year. A groin injury in Week 3 against Dallas forced him to miss the next four games. He dislocated his right shoulder in the first game against the Rams and then tore the labrum in his left shoulder against the 49ers.

“Last week I had two surgeries at the same time,” he continued. “I’m saying it all to say this, save that same energy for next season, when I’m back in good health. You’re all on my list. “

Despite injuries and four games missed, Adams still set the record for most sacks by a defensive back at 9.5 and was named to the Pro Bowl and a second All-Pro team.
