The famous Jamba Juice smoothies store is shortening its name.
From now on, the string will simply call Jamba.
While loyal customers have been calling the Jamba chain for years, the company is formalizing this change.
The abandonment of references related to eating restaurant names seems to be a trend, as the chains want to look healthy.
Dunkin 'Donuts and Domino's Pizza have also shortened their names recently.
The name change is also better on the menu, as Jamba offers sandwiches, bowls and snacks in addition to juices and smoothies.
The company is also rolling out new store designs, healthier options and a redesigned mobile app with access to Uber Eats and Postmates.
Jamba started in San Luis Obispo as a Juice Club. It was a senior project of Cal Poly.
