James Harden's loss to the Houston Rockets against the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Match 1 semi-final on Sunday night may have started on the pitch when the player appeared dressed in an outfit which looked like a "grandmother's quilt".
Harden was photographed entering the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, wearing a colorful quilt-like ensemble. NBA fans quickly roasted the player.

"I remember that my grandmother bought one at a flea market in 1984," joked a user.
"Grandma, it's a beautiful quilt" another wrote.
Even most Harden fans have struggled to love fashion.
"Sorry, I love James Harden, but he really needs a fashion advisor, unless he's wearing those awful outfits just to annoy people," he said. tweet read.
But at least one fan did not seem to worry, writing: "The halters will hate Go Rockets go," with Harden's GIF bending over the ground.
Harden scored 35 points, scoring 9 points for 28 and 4 of 16 out of 3, in the 104-100 loss to the Warriors. He attributed the loss, in part, to unjustified faults.

"I just want a chance, man," Harden told reporters after the match. "We all know what happened two years ago with Kawhi. Call the game as it is supposed to be called, and that's it. I will live with the results. "
The Warriors have a 1-0 lead in the series, with the second match scheduled for Tuesday in Oakland.
